Wednesday Night Tournaments

Extreme Bass Anglerz started the Wednesday Night Egypt Bend Tournaments in the summer of 2006.  They have been a "favorite" among anglers as it gives anglers the oppurtunity to fish a local evening tournament, have lots of fun, and have the oppurtunity to win nice paybacks.  The Wednesday Night Egypt Bend Tournaments take place at Egypt Bend (South Fork of the Shenandoah River) near Luray, Virginia.  Entry into the Wednesday Night tournament is based on a priority entry, meaning those anglers that have fished the various years of the tournaments have first priority in fishing the 2009 series.  If there are openings, Extreme will notify club members.  The tournament field is limited to 16 boats.  The entry fee is $10.00 per person, at least one person in the boat must be an Extrme Bass Anglerz member.  The payout is "Winner Take All".  There is no big fish award.  Launch and weigh in times may be changed due to weather, low light conditions, or water conditions (high water).  The tournaments may be fished individually or as a team.  There is a five fish limit (largemouth or smallmouth).  The slot limit is 14 to 20 inches.  You may weigh five fish under 14 inches or four fish under 14 inches and one fish over 20 inches.  Fish are measured on the Extreme Bass Anglerz "Golden Rule".  The official "Golden Rule" will be available before the tournament for anglers to compare their measuring board to Extreme's.  Fish are measured with mouth closed and tail pinched.  Fish brought to the scales in the slot will result in a one pound penalty and will not be weighed.  Dead fish will be accessed a .25 pound penalty.  Dead fish cannot be culled.  Areas off limits is the river above the first set of riffles.  The tournament waters go "OFF LIMITS" the day of the tournament.  This means you cannot be on the water at all (fishing or riding around).  If there is a tie for first place, the prize money will be divided among the teams.  This is an exciting and fun tournament, just ask anglers that fished in 2006, 2007, 2008, or 2009.
